Founded in 1919, VHV Gruppe has grown to become one of Germany's leading specialized insurers for the construction industry, as well as a significant provider of motor, liability, property, accident, and technical insurance for both private and business customers. Operating as a mutual insurance association (Versicherungsverein auf Gegenseitigkeit), the group is owned by its members (the policyholders). The group includes well-known brands such as VHV Versicherungen and the direct insurer Hannoversche. In recent years, VHV Gruppe has expanded its operations internationally, with a presence in Austria, Italy, France, and Turkey.
