Founded in 1986, the Women’s Opportunities Resource Center (WORC) is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Its mission is to promote social and economic self-sufficiency, primarily for economically disadvantaged women and their families. WORC achieves this by providing comprehensive entrepreneurial training, individual business assistance, incentive savings programs, and access to capital through microloans for business establishment and expansion.
