USAID Green Invest Asia
Information by Research TrustFinance
USAID Green Invest Asia was a five-year project (2017-2022) funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. Its primary mission was to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, forestry, and other land use (AFOLU) by catalyzing private-sector investment into businesses practicing sustainable, low-emissions land use. The project provided technical assistance to help businesses become "investment-ready" and connected them with a network of investors and financial institutions to facilitate deals. Over its lifetime, it successfully mobilized over $446 million in capital for the sustainable land use sector.
