the financial capability strategy for the uk
Information by Research TrustFinance
"The Financial Capability Strategy for the UK" was a ten-year strategy launched in 2015 by the then-Money Advice Service to help people manage their money better. In 2019, the Money Advice Service, The Pensions Advisory Service, and Pension Wise merged to create a new single entity, the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS). MaPS is an arm's-length body, sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions, and it now leads the successor "UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing". Its core mission is to provide free, impartial money and pensions guidance to the public, helping people make the most of their finances throughout their lives.
