Founded in 1994 as the GreTai Securities Market (GTSM) and renamed in 2015, the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) is a key institution in Taiwan's capital market ecosystem, operating under the supervision of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC). Its primary mission is to support the real economy by providing a fundraising and investment platform for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises and high-tech companies through its Main Board and Emerging Stock Board. Additionally, TPEx operates Taiwan's main bond trading market, including government and corporate bonds, and offers a market for derivatives products, thereby fostering a multi-layered and comprehensive capital market.
