Since 1978, Springfield Neighborhood Housing Services (SNHS) has operated as a non-profit organization focused on community development and affordable housing. Its mission is to cultivate healthy neighborhoods by creating and preserving homeownership opportunities for low-to-moderate-income residents. The organization achieves this through a variety of services, including comprehensive homebuyer education, financial capabilities counseling, down payment assistance programs, specialized mortgage and lending products, and foreclosure intervention counseling.
