Founded in 1940 as the brainchild of Public Works employees in Tacoma, Sound Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative dedicated to serving its members. It has grown from its original 31 members to become one of Washington's largest credit unions. The company's mission is to provide stellar service and deliver substantial value to its members by offering a comprehensive range of financial products, including checking and savings accounts, auto loans, mortgages, credit cards, and business banking services. As a member-owned institution, its profits are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings yields, and improved services.
