Founded in 1989, the Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC) is a specialized, non-profit business lender that serves as an economic development organization. Its mission is to stimulate local economies by providing small businesses with access to capital that may not be available through traditional lending channels. As a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and a Certified Development Company (CDC) for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), SBAC administers various loan programs, including SBA 504 loans, microloans, and other community advantage loans, to foster business growth and job creation in its service area.
