Founded in 2013, PAGGI was a fintech focused on empowering Brazilian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and self-employed professionals with accessible payment technologies. The company offered a range of products including mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) card readers, a free digital account, and payment link solutions, aiming to simplify financial transactions for its clients. In July 2020, PAGGI was acquired by Banco Votorantim (now Banco BV), a major Brazilian bank. The acquisition was a strategic move for Banco BV to strengthen its offerings for SMEs, and Paggi's team and technology were subsequently integrated into the bank's operations, leading to the discontinuation of the standalone PAGGI brand.
