Founded in 1955, the Long Island Development Corporation (LIDC) is a private, not-for-profit economic development organization. Its mission is to foster economic growth and create jobs on Long Island by providing affordable, long-term financing and technical assistance to small and mid-sized businesses. LIDC is a Certified Development Company (CDC) authorized by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to administer the SBA 504 loan program, alongside offering other loan programs and business support services.
