Founded in 1999, Lanka Rating Agency Limited (LRA) was the first credit rating agency to be established in Sri Lanka. LRA provides independent, timely, and prospective credit opinions to the Sri Lankan market, enhancing transparency and assisting investors and market participants in making informed decisions. The agency rates a wide range of entities, including corporate entities, financial institutions, and various debt instruments. LRA was formerly an affiliate of Moody's Investors Service until 2007 and is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka.
