Founded in 1994, Ladder Up is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families and individuals move up the economic ladder. The organization achieves its mission by providing free, high-quality financial services, including tax assistance through the Tax Assistance Program (TAP), financial education and coaching via its Financial Capability programs, and assistance in applying for public benefits. It primarily serves hardworking, low-income communities in the Chicago metropolitan area, leveraging a large base of trained volunteers to deliver its programs.
