IILM - International Islamic Liquidity Management
Information by Research TrustFinance
The International Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation (IILM) is a multinational institution established in 2010 by a consortium of central banks, monetary authorities, and multilateral organisations. Its primary mission is to address the historical shortage of high-quality, liquid, and Sharī`ah-compliant financial instruments in the Islamic finance sector. The IILM facilitates this by creating and issuing its flagship US dollar-denominated short-term 'A-1' rated Ṣukūk (Islamic bonds). These instruments provide Islamic financial institutions with a much-needed tool for managing their liquidity and strengthening the overall stability of the global Islamic financial system.
