The IDeal - Idaho College Savings Program is a state-sponsored, tax-advantaged 529 plan established by the Idaho legislature to help individuals and families save for qualified higher education expenses. Administered by the Idaho College Savings Program Board and managed by Ascensus, the program allows account holders to invest in various portfolios. Contributions made by Idaho taxpayers are eligible for a state tax deduction, and earnings in the account grow tax-deferred. Withdrawals are tax-free when used for qualified education expenses at eligible institutions nationwide.
