Founded in 1933, the Florida Securities Dealers Association, Inc. (FSDA) was a professional trade organization representing broker-dealers, investment bankers, and other financial services firms in Florida. Its mission was to advocate for a favorable business and regulatory environment for the securities industry and to provide a forum for education and networking for its members. In May 2012, after nearly 80 years of operation, the FSDA merged with the national Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) to combine resources and advocacy efforts. The corporation was officially dissolved in October 2012 according to Florida state records.
