Founded in 1958 by the South Carolina General Assembly, the Business Development Corporation (BDC) is a private, non-governmental corporation that assists in the promotion and advancement of businesses and industries throughout the state. It is a Certified Development Company (CDC) authorized by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), specializing in administering the SBA 504 Loan Program.
