Founded in 1981 to serve the employees of Baxter Travenol Laboratories, BCU (Baxter Credit Union) has grown into one of the nation's top 100 credit unions. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, its mission is to "empower members to achieve their financial goals." Unlike a traditional bank, BCU is owned by its members, and its profits are returned to them in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and fewer fees. BCU provides a comprehensive suite of financial products, including checking and savings accounts, credit cards, mortgages, auto loans, and wealth management services, primarily serving employees and families of its partner companies.
