Established in 1967, the Barren River Area Development District (BRADD) is a quasi-governmental organization that serves as a collaborative forum for local officials and citizens across ten counties in Kentucky. Its mission is to coordinate regional planning and development to improve the quality of life. BRADD provides a wide range of services, including community and economic development, workforce development, transportation planning, water and wastewater management assistance, and social services through its Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living. The organization assists local governments with grant applications, project administration, and technical support to foster regional growth and cooperation.
