Barren River Area Development District

Established in 1968, the Barren River Area Development District (BRADD) is a quasi-governmental agency that functions as a regional planning and development organization. Its mission is to coordinate and provide a variety of services to the local governments and citizens within the ten-county Barren River region of South Central Kentucky. BRADD's core activities include community and economic development, workforce development, transportation planning, and administering programs for aging and independent living, thereby fostering regional cooperation and improving the quality of life in the area.
