A stablecoin target price is not a guarantee of the price or cash you will receive. Review reserve quality, who can redeem directly, and the route from your token to usable money. Issuer redemption terms and secondary-market trading are different processes with different risks.

First, what supports the token's target value? Second, who holds those assets and on what terms? Third, can you personally request redemption from the issuer? Fourth, what will an exchange or other buyer pay when you need to sell? An answer to one question does not automatically answer the others. A reserve report is information about a defined date and scope, not a continuous guarantee of every future withdrawal.
| Risk layer | Question to ask | Evidence to inspect |
|---|---|---|
| Issuer | Who owes the redemption obligation? | Applicable issuer entity and legal terms |
| Reserves | Are assets liquid and what liabilities are compared? | Dated composition and assurance scope |
| Custody | Where are token and reserve assets held? | Custodian and platform arrangements |
| Redemption | Am I eligible and how long can cash take? | Onboarding, fees, minimums and banking rules |
| Market price | Can I sell the amount I need near the target? | Executable quote, depth and withdrawal costs |
Check the report date, assets covered, liabilities measured, valuation basis and independent assurance language. Cash and liquid securities are different assets with different custody and timing considerations. An attestation of a specified assertion should not be described as an unlimited audit of the entire business. This guide makes no claim about any issuer's live backing, solvency or latest reserve amount. Consult the newest official documents directly.
Direct issuer redemption may require a supported jurisdiction, approved account, identification, minimum amounts and a bank account. Fees, banking hours and stress conditions can affect timing. If you cannot use that route, an exchange sale depends on buyers, order-book liquidity, platform access and fiat withdrawal arrangements. Tokens held on an exchange also depend on the exchange's custody and withdrawal process, even when the issuer operates normally.
Suppose you hold 1,000 tokens targeting 1 currency unit each. If an executable exchange quote is 0.98 and the combined sale and withdrawal charge is 5 units, cash received is 1,000 × 0.98 − 5 = 975 units, before tax and other costs. That is 25 below the target face amount. This invented example illustrates a depeg and transaction costs; it is not a forecast or a quote for any token.
No. Market prices can differ from the target, especially under stress.
Do not assume that. The holder's legal rights and protections depend on the product, issuer terms and jurisdiction.
This guide explains a decision process, not a recommendation of a provider or an investment. Products, fees, eligibility, tax treatment and consumer protections differ by country and can change. Confirm the current contract and official documentation that apply to your own account. Keep dated copies of the terms and written responses. Reviews can help you identify questions, but a positive review does not establish solvency, security or suitability. Never share passwords, private keys or recovery phrases when seeking help.
