Visitatie Commissie Pensioenfondsen

Established by the Dutch Labour Foundation (Stichting van de Arbeid) and the Pension Federation (Pensioenfederatie), the Visitatiecommissie Pensioenfondsen (Pension Funds Visitation Committee) plays a key role in the self-regulation of the Dutch pension sector. Its primary mission is to conduct periodic "visitations" (reviews or assessments) of the governance of pension fund boards. This process helps pension funds to be accountable for their governance practices, identify areas for improvement, and ensure they adhere to the principles of the Dutch Pension Fund Code, thereby strengthening the quality and integrity of the sector's governance.
