Founded in August 1997 as a division of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), the VDA Quality Management Center (QMC) is tasked with developing and advancing quality management systems for the German automotive industry. Its core mission is to create, maintain, and promote quality standards and methods (such as VDA 6.x and Automotive SPICE®), provide professional training and certifications for auditors and managers, and publish industry-standard literature. VDA QMC works to ensure a high level of quality, safety, and reliability throughout the entire automotive supply chain, from manufacturers to suppliers, on a global scale.
