Founded in 2018, Pei was a financial technology company that operated a loyalty and rewards platform. Users could link their existing debit and credit cards to the Pei app, which would then automatically track purchases at partner merchants and reward users with cashback. A key feature was the option to receive these rewards in either US dollars or Bitcoin. However, beginning in late 2022 and into 2023, the service became non-operational. Numerous public reports and user complaints indicate the company ceased operations, the app was removed from app stores, and many users were left unable to withdraw their accumulated balances.
