Founded in 1959, the Federación Nacional de Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito del Perú (FENACREP) is the primary representative body for savings and credit cooperatives (COOPACs) in Peru. Its mission is to promote the development, integration, and strengthening of the cooperative financial system. Fenacrep provides its member cooperatives with services such as representation before government bodies, technical assistance, training, and auxiliary supervision, working in coordination with the official state regulator (the SBS) to ensure the stability and reliability of the cooperative sector.
