Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) was formed in 1972 under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). As a for-profit corporation, its primary mission is to improve the quality of life for its shareholders—the Inupiat, Siberian Yupik, and Yup’ik people of the Bering Straits region—by providing dividends, benefits, and career opportunities. BSNC accomplishes this mission through the strategic management of its lands and resources and by operating a diverse portfolio of subsidiary companies. These subsidiaries are active in various industries, with a significant focus on providing services to the U.S. federal government, including construction, logistics, information technology, security, and facility management.
