Founded in 2017, Utrust was created to solve the problems of low usability and trust in cryptocurrency payments. It provides a platform for merchants to accept payments in various cryptocurrencies while being protected from market volatility by offering instant conversion to fiat currency. In 2022, Utrust was acquired by Elrond (now MultiversX) and was subsequently merged with the e-money institution Twispay to rebrand and launch as "xMoney" in 2023. This evolution combines crypto payment processing with traditional finance capabilities, aiming to provide a comprehensive payment solution for the new economy.
