Originally established in 1987, Tasplan was a Tasmanian-based, multi-industry superannuation fund dedicated to helping members grow their retirement savings. It focused on providing superannuation products and services primarily to Tasmanians. On April 1, 2021, Tasplan Super officially merged with MTAA Super (Motor Trades Association of Australia Superannuation Fund) to create a larger, national fund named Spirit Super. The merged entity, Spirit Super, manages billions in funds for hundreds of thousands of members across Australia, aiming to provide strong investment returns and competitive fees.
