Founded in 1999, the Student Investment Management Group (SIMG) is a student-led organization within the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. Its primary mission is to educate its members in the fields of finance and investment management through hands-on experience. The group is responsible for managing a long-only equity portfolio valued at over $200,000, which is part of the Michigan State University Foundation's endowment. Members conduct in-depth financial analysis, pitch stocks, and make real investment decisions, bridging the gap between academic theory and practical application in the financial markets.
