PostBank Uganda Limited (PBU) is a public company fully owned by the Government of Uganda. Established in 1998, it evolved from the former Post Office Savings Bank. In December 2021, it was granted a Tier 1 Commercial Bank License by the Bank of Uganda, significantly expanding its service offerings. The bank's mission is to empower people to transform their lives by offering relevant and sustainable financial solutions, with a strong focus on financial inclusion and reaching unbanked and under-banked populations through an extensive network of branches and agent banking services.
