Formed in 2013 through the merger of Co-op Saitama, Co-op Chiba, and Co-op Tokyo, Co-op Mirai is one of Japan's largest consumer cooperatives. Its core mission is to support the daily lives of its members and contribute to a sustainable society through its various business activities. The cooperative's primary operations include a home delivery service for groceries and daily necessities, a network of retail stores ("Mini Co-op" and "Co-op"), and a range of other services such as CO-OP Kyosai (mutual aid/insurance), electricity supply, and housing services, all guided by the principles of member participation and democratic management.
