Celery
Information by Research TrustFinance
Celery was a San Francisco-based startup, part of Y Combinator's Winter 2013 batch, that created a platform for merchants to easily accept pre-orders and run crowdfunding campaigns directly from their own websites. It provided the tools to capture payments, manage orders, and communicate with backers without redirecting them to a third-party marketplace. In 2015, Celery was acquired by the major crowdfunding platform Indiegogo to enhance its own "InDemand" feature. Subsequently, Indiegogo shut down the standalone Celery platform and its services on March 31, 2017, to integrate its technology and focus on the core Indiegogo platform.
