Business Link
Information by Research TrustFinance
Originally established in 1992, Business Link was a comprehensive government service designed to help individuals start, run, and grow their businesses in England. Funded and managed by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), it provided free, impartial information and advice on a wide range of topics, including finance, employment law, marketing, and regulatory compliance. The service was delivered through a website (businesslink.gov.uk) and a network of local, face-to-face advisors. In 2012, as part of the UK Government's "digital by default" strategy, the Business Link website was closed, and its services and content were migrated to the central GOV.UK website.
