Blik is a mobile payment standard in Poland, operated by Polski Standard Płatności (PSP), a company established in 2013 by an alliance of six of the largest Polish banks. Launched in 2015, Blik's mission was to create a unified, secure, and convenient mobile payment system for all bank customers in the country. The service enables users to generate a temporary, unique 6-digit code within their bank's mobile app to authorize transactions for e-commerce, in-store payments (POS), and ATM cash withdrawals without a physical card. It also facilitates instant peer-to-peer (P2P) payments using only the recipient's phone number.
