Bean was a fintech service founded in 2016 with a mission to help people feel good about their money. The platform connected to a user's bank accounts to provide a consolidated view of all recurring payments, such as subscriptions and bills. It then allowed users to easily cancel unwanted services directly through the app and provided insights on better deals for household bills like energy and broadband. The company was acquired by BGL Group (owner of CompareTheMarket.com) in 2019. However, on October 28th, 2020, Bean officially ceased its services and the app was closed down.
