Information by Research Trustfinance
BBVA Perú, which operated for decades as BBVA Continental, is one of Peru's largest and most important financial groups. Originally founded as Banco Continental in 1951, it became part of the Spanish multinational financial group Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) in the 1990s. In June 2019, as part of a global brand unification strategy, the "Continental" name was dropped, and the bank now operates simply as BBVA. The bank provides a full suite of services, including retail banking, corporate and investment banking, insurance, and asset management, with a strong focus on digital transformation and innovation in the Peruvian market.
