Zencap was a financial technology company, originally backed by Rocket Internet, that operated an online marketplace for business loans. It directly connected small and medium-sized businesses seeking financing with private and institutional investors willing to lend. Launched in Spain in 2014, it aimed to offer a faster and more efficient alternative to traditional bank lending. In October 2015, the entire Zencap business, including its Spanish operations, was acquired by the UK-based P2P lending giant Funding Circle. Following the acquisition, the Zencap brand was phased out and its platform and services were merged into Funding Circle's global operations.
