Zaypay International B.V.
Information by Research TrustFinance
Founded in 2006 in The Netherlands, Zaypay International B.V. was a financial technology company that provided a platform for online businesses to accept payments from consumers via their phone bills. The service was designed to simplify micropayments for digital content, online games, and other web services, allowing users to pay with a simple phone call or text message without needing a credit card. In 2011, Zaypay was acquired by the Mobile Interactive Group (MIG), which was subsequently acquired by the global carrier billing leader Boku, Inc. in 2012. Following these acquisitions, the Zaypay brand and its specific platform were eventually phased out as its technology and merchant relationships were integrated into the acquirer's ecosystem.
