Launched in 2014, it specialized in peer-to-peer lending, connecting individual investors with borrowers seeking consumer and small business loans, offering a variety of investment products. Following a nationwide regulatory crackdown on the P2P lending industry in China, Xiao Ying Licai, like its peers, was required to wind down its P2P operations. The parent company has since pivoted its business model to focus primarily on credit facilitation services for financial institutions and other technology-driven financial solutions.
