Wrapp
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2011 by Hjalmar Winbladh and Andreas Ehn (Spotify's first CTO), Wrapp was a digital platform that revolutionized the gift card and loyalty program industry. The service allowed users to connect their payment cards to the app, which then automatically tracked purchases and unlocked personalized rewards and cashback offers from partner retailers. The core mission was to help brands build stronger customer relationships by providing relevant, data-driven offers. In 2018, Wrapp was acquired by the Icelandic digital banking software provider, Meniga, to integrate its rewards technology into Meniga's broader suite of products for banks.
