Its mission is to drive finance toward activities that deliver measurable, high-integrity outcomes. Verra is best known for managing the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program, the world's leading voluntary greenhouse gas (GHG) crediting program. In addition to the VCS Program, Verra also manages other standards, including the Climate, Community & Biodiversity (CCB) Standards and the Plastic Waste Reduction Standard, to ensure projects meet high-quality benchmarks and generate credible, transparent results.
