UMOA-Titres is a public institution created in 2012 by the Council of Ministers of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU, known as UEMOA in French) and became operational in 2013. Its primary mission is to support Member States in raising capital on the financial markets by issuing public securities on their behalf. The agency works in close collaboration with the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) to promote the regional public securities market, ensure its liquidity, and help member states finance their economies at the best possible cost and with controlled risk.
