Sunsuper
Information by Research TrustFinance
Founded in 1987, Sunsuper was an Australian "profit-for-members" superannuation fund, meaning its profits were returned to members rather than shareholders. It grew to become one of the nation's largest super funds, managing billions in retirement savings for approximately 1.4 million members. The fund focused on providing strong long-term investment returns, competitive fees, and a range of insurance and financial advice services. In a landmark merger on 28 February 2022, Sunsuper joined with QSuper to create Australian Retirement Trust, one of the largest superannuation funds in the country.
