Its core product was an API proxy that polled existing web APIs and pushed incremental updates to clients using technologies like Server-Sent Events (SSE) and JSON Patch. This allowed developers to easily add real-time streaming capabilities to their applications without significant backend re-engineering. In September 2018, Streamdata.io was acquired by Axway, a global leader in API management. The technology has since been integrated into the Axway AMPLIFY platform and is now known as "Amplify Streams".
