The Shanghai International Energy Exchange (INE) is a regulated international exchange platform established in the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone on November 22, 2013, with the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). Operating independently under the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), INE is designed to provide an open, fair, and transparent marketplace for energy derivatives. Its primary mission is to serve the real economy by establishing a pricing benchmark for energy commodities in the Asia-Pacific region, offering risk management tools, and facilitating the internationalization of China's futures market.
