Proviande Genossenschaft is the official cooperative and industry organization for the Swiss meat industry, founded in 1941. Its mission is to promote the economic interests of its members through joint self-help. The organization is responsible for a wide range of services including quality assurance, animal classification, gathering and distributing market information, and conducting generic marketing and communication for "Swiss Meat" to foster consumer trust and promote consumption.
