Founded in 2016, PocketBits was one of India's early cryptocurrency exchanges, with a mission to simplify the process of buying, selling, and trading digital assets for the Indian market. The platform aimed to provide a user-friendly and secure environment for accessing cryptocurrencies using Indian Rupees (INR). In August 2022, PocketBits announced it was joining forces with CoinSwitch, a larger Indian crypto unicorn. Consequently, PocketBits shut down its standalone platform and directed its users to migrate their assets and activities to CoinSwitch.
