Founded in 1935, Pentagon Federal Credit Union (commonly known as PenFed) is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative. Originally established to serve members of the United States Army, its membership has expanded to include all branches of the armed forces, numerous government agencies, and the general public.
