Payconiq International is a mobile payment and payment processing company headquartered in Luxembourg. Originally an initiative of ING Bank, it was established to create a unified, multi-country payment system based on QR codes. The company provides a platform that allows consumers to make seamless payments via their smartphones, linked directly to their bank accounts, for in-store purchases, online shopping, and peer-to-peer transfers. Payconiq operates primarily in the Benelux region (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg) through partnerships with major local banks. In 2023, Payconiq International was acquired by the European Payments Initiative (EPI) as part of a strategic move to build a unified, instant payment solution for Europe.
