OMIP, the Iberian Energy Exchange, was established in 2003 within the MIBEL (Iberian Electricity Market) framework to provide the Iberian energy community with a transparent and efficient platform for managing energy price risks. It is a regulated market that offers a diverse portfolio of energy derivative contracts, including futures, forwards, swaps, and options on electricity and natural gas for the Iberian region. In conjunction with OMIClear, its wholly-owned clearing house, OMIP provides trading and clearing services, ensuring the financial integrity of the market for all participants.
