Originally chartered in 1936 as the Minnesota State Highway Employees Credit Union, Northwoods Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution owned and operated by its members. Its mission is to be the premier financial resource for its membership by providing a full range of personal and business banking services, including savings and checking accounts, various loan types (mortgage, auto, personal), credit cards, and investment services. The credit union is dedicated to serving its local communities and operates under the cooperative principle of "people helping people."
